Welcome to Wistow in Leicester, a beautiful and historic English hamlet in rolling countryside just a few miles south of Leicester and north of Market Harborough.

Famous for the Wistow Maze (with new design and quiz trail each summer), the thriving Rural Centre (with a new art gallery and Mediterranean deli, cafe/bistro, plant centre, model village and a variety of shops - press on the Rural Centre tab for full list of shops & numbers).

There are numerous country walks around St Wistanís Church and the Grand Union Canal, attractive cottages and flats for rental, and views of historic Wistow Hall with its scenic parkland and lake.

LAST WEEKEND to visit the award winning Wistow Maze before it closes for 2014. It will then re-open in July 2015 with a new design and quiz trail.

The maze is only OPEN FOR 2 MORE DAYS before it gets cut down and used for cattle fodder! So make sure you visit this Saturday 20th or Sunday 21st Sept 10am-6pm.

The maize crop is 8ft tall and the WW1 themed Quiz Trail hidden amongst the 3 miles of pathways is both educational and fun.

Please wear appropriate footwear, and after rain it is advisable to wear wellies or old trainers as the paths do get muddy.


Summer Fun for all the Family

The award-winning maze has a fun Quiz Trail hidden amongst 3 miles of intricate pathways, with high level bridges & towers giving stunning 3D panoramic views. Also includes an Activity Funyard.

For 2014 the maze has a 'First World War' theme and is designed in the shape of a "Field Cannon".

This highly popular annual charity concert took place on Saturday 7th June 2014 in the beautiful grounds of Wistow Hall (by kind permission of the Brooks family).
Despite the dreadful weather forecasts, 1,000 people turned up with their picnics and enjoyed music by "The upBeatles" (a Beatles tribute band) and the award winning "Hathern Brass Band".
They were followed by a fabulous fireworks display in front of Wistow Hall.

The concert raised £7,700 for good causes, including two Leicestershire & Rutland charities: "LOROS" and "HOPE Against Cancer".

The concert was organised by the Wigston Rotary Club, and next years date will be put on this website as soon as we know it, so keep an eye out!
