It's great exercise for mind and body! Perfect for all ages, with staff outings even more popular than school trips! Follow the fun Quiz Trail, and see if you can find all 12 quiz boards hidden amongst the 3 miles of paths, with high level bridges and viewing towers giving stunning panoramic views.
You can come in and out of the giant maze as many times as you like during the day. Maybe stopping for lunch, or playing in the Activity Funyard before re-entering and completing the Quiz Trail.
In 2025 the maze was designed in the shape of a Steam Train to mark the 200th Anniversary of the modern railway. 2026 will have a new design and theme.
Visit our Activity Funyard and test your maze solving skills on a variety of games. A mini maze, rope maze, hoopla, beanbag throwing, football shooting game, space-hopper track, sandpit and more.

Weather Closures: Due to bad weather, we may sometimes need to close the maze. We update the website as soon as we know of any closure, so please check before you leave home.
1. Bring a pen for the Quiz Trail.
2. Wear sensible shoes (wellies after rain), as paths get muddy.
3. After bad weather, check website or ring 07884 403889 in case of closure.
4. Bring protection in hot weather.
5. Leave dogs at home.
The maze paths are simply packed earth and can be uneven in places and muddy during wet weather, making it less suitable for wheelchairs. Pushchairs can easily get round, but after rain it is more difficult. Being a living crop, the maize changes throughout the season.
Dogs are not allowed (except Guide Dogs) in the Maze or Activity Funyard. There are, however, fields for dog walking nearby.
Every year we create a brand new, exciting and relevant maze design, using GPS satellite technology!
