Created over 30 years ago in the scenic setting of a listed walled garden, Wiston-le-Dale model village provides an enchanting scene for the imaginative mind.

The model village comprises over 75 buildings including a castle, wharf, mill, church, town hall, various shops and many houses and cottages of varying architectural merit!  The railway, canal and lanes are landscaped with miniature trees and flowering plants to complete a peaceful and harmonious picture.

There is no charge, but all donations are given to two local charities for young people, 'Rainbows Children's Hospice' and the 'Sir Andrew Martin Trust'.  Over £20,000 has been donated since 1996.

The model village can be found at Wistow Rural Centre and is approached through Ken Bailey's Plant Centre.
