Welcome to Wistow in Leicester, a beautiful and historic English hamlet in rolling countryside just a few miles south of Leicester and north of Market Harborough.

Famous for the Wistow Maze (with new design and quiz trail each summer), the thriving Rural Centre (with a new art gallery and Mediterranean deli, cafe/bistro, plant centre, model village and a variety of shops - press on the Rural Centre tab for full list of shops & numbers).

There are numerous country walks around St Wistan’s Church and the Grand Union Canal, attractive cottages and flats for rental, and views of historic Wistow Hall with its scenic parkland and lake.

THE WISTOW MAZE

The maze is now CLOSED but will re-OPEN on
SATURDAY 14th JULY 2012 with a new theme and quiz trail.

Summer Fun for all the Family

The award-winning maze with its 3 miles of intricate pathways and high level bridges & towers, welcomed more than 15,000 visitors last summer.
This year the giant maze will have a "Sports" theme and will be in the shape of a Relay Runner, with the Quiz Trail highlighting British athletes and their sporting events.

Diamond Jubilee" MUSIC IN THE PARK
on Saturday 9th June 2012

This charity concert is held in the beautiful grounds of Wistow Hall by kind permission of the Brooks family, and is a great night out for all ages.
Bring your own picnic and enjoy a wonderful evening listening to music by Junction 21 (an 18 piece swing band) and the award winning all female brass band "Boobs & Brass". This is then followed by a fabulous firework display in front of Wistow Hall.

The concert is supporting "LOROS" (Hospice Care for Leicestershire & Rutland), Warning Zone (Leicestershire & Rutland Crimebeat Ltd), and the "Breast Cancer Campaign" (which funds research into breast cancer).
Last year the concert raised £12,000 for charity, and the organisers Wigstan Rotary Club hope to raise even more this year.

Gates open 5.30pm : Music starts 7.30pm : Finale & Grand Fireworks Display 10.00pm.

A new ART & CRAFT GALLERY opens at Wistow Rural Centre.
WISTOW GALLERY opens in April and will be selling beautiful contemporary crafts, art and design sourced uniquely from Leicestershire & Rutland.
They will be affordable and constantly changing and will include ceramics, glass, jewellery, prints, paintings, wood, textiles, paper crafts and much more.
